Service Description

I will be offering my immersion workshop on embodiment and the neuroscience of Yoga this April at Om Shanti Yoga. Join me in an introduction to the brain and nervous system with special emphasis on deepening your awareness of how this ancient wisdom truly supports your overall wellbeing. The focus will be specifically on how we support our brain functions and manage our stress responses through the tools and techniques laid out through Yoga postures, breath awareness and the practice of Mindfulness. I teach from an embodiment experience of the essence of yoga, beyond the surface, beyond what it "does" to the body's physical form. This special experience will be about how Yoga illuminates the healing process that occurs from within. We humans tend to respond or react to people, places or things dependent on where we are with our autonomic nervous system. Each one of us experiences, has or will experience stress, and knowing our system and how to manage and regulate it can truly be the way to prevent or overcome many illnesses or dis-eases. This class will include discussion plus a full body movement and breath practice. No experience necessary, simply curiosity and willingness to learn and be in conversation.
